Wild Card by Susan Hayes is a wonderful sci-fi romance full of twists and turns. I love the worlds that she invents for each series and the very real feel of her characters. Strong protective men who have to learn to deal with strong independent women are the norm for her stories, but otherwise, each is unique and fun to read. I inevitably read her stories in one sitting since I enjoy them too much to stop and finish the next day.

Lieska is a cyborg technician who repairs two cyborgs, Dash and Mack. She figures out that they are real men, not just machines as she has been told. She does her best to protect them by not turning over the information to the corporations using them to fight their battles and disappears with her knowledge. Flash forward several years, the wars are over and Lieska is called in to help repair a cyborg who has been shot. She discovers that Dash and Mack are still alive and live on the space station where she ended up after traveling around the galaxy. You have to read the story to get to the nitty-gritty of the story. Very well written romance with several intertwining story lines to keep it moving.

I really enjoyed revisiting the Drift. This time we get to see Dash and Mack find the woman they thought they lost. She is a feisty redheaded angel who saves Dashes life, again. I love the interplay between the characters and we get to see the complete series story growing. I cannot wait for the next installment.
Yes it was very easy to guess who the bad guy is. I really like Lieska. She is very smart. Compassionate and loving. Dash and Mack are bossy. They get into trouble a lot. I like how everyone is building a family. It's a great series

From start to finish I was pulled into this story and while I was sad to get to the end I had a smile on my face.
Action, mystery, suspense, laughter and love. Loved the bonus at the end.
Susan Hayes does not disappoint, on to the next adventure.

The characters are multifaceted and their struggles with finding each other and growing their bond between them all is well developed. Lieska was a tech who worked on cyborgs previously where she met Dash and Mack. They had a very hot make out session and she found out they were sentient. In order to protect them she sent them away. Years later they come together and get a second chance they have some kinks to work through, but they get there. There's some big twists in the book you'll enjoy if you read any of the other books in the series.
The third book in this series and I am enjoying it a lot I have now pre-ordered the next book I just need to know what will happen with the cyborgs. This one is Lieska is a cyborg technician who repairs two cyborgs, Dash and Mack when she realizes what they really are she runs to keep them safe.What happens? I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it. I also liked it so much I decided to buy it because when this series is finished I will be re-reading them all.
In the on-going saga of "The Drift," we meet a new triad. Mack Darian and Dash Scudo are cyborgs, working as Corporate Security to protect the citizens of The Drift. Lieksa Kiv was once an advanced technician who repaired damaged cyborgs in order to send them back out into battle.
I really love these three together; the way it began, the steps she took to keep them as safe as possible, their confusion and sense of betrayal that nonetheless doesn't dampen their need for her. Learning their strengths and abilities as they battle the evil that threatens their existence is awesome. By the way, Lieksa is no delicate Tiskalian ice orchid; she has some 'moves!' This is not the end. There are many more battles to be won and other fascinating residents of The Drift about whom I really need to learn more! Join me in enjoying this splendid series. You won't regret it!
